Younger looking skin

Every 30 days the sking renews irself from the inside out, producing a layer of dead cells on the surface which, if left unattended, not only leave it looking dull, but create blemishes and blockages, which prevent it working efficiently. daily dry brushing removes this layer of dead cells as it forms, creating the transluence of healthy blood flow under the surface and the appearance of healthier, yonger looking skin. Brush using long sweeping strokes, working from the feet and hands towards the heart. Skin will be sensitive at first, so be gentle. With very delicate skins brush with soft, pure Bristle or Japanes Sisal brushes to begin with, and the skin will soon firm up. The benefits are almost instant as the skin will tingle, feel softer and take on a healthy glow immediately.

Lymphatic Detox

As the largest organ of the body, skin, just like the kidneys and liver, is responsible for removal of waste and toxins. In fact about 30% of body waste is eliminated via the skin, throught sweat glands and lymphatic capilluaries under the surface. Unlike veins, which have the heart to keep things flowing, the lymphatic system does not have a pump, relying instead on muscular activity to more the lymphatic fluid along and drain the waste safety away into the digestive system. As a waste disposal system, it is overworked by unhealthy diets, or hindered by medical conditions such as diabetes and because of its reliance on muscular activity, lack of exercise or a sedentary lifestyle will also have a negative effect on lymphatic drainage.

Protect the immune system

When lymphatic drainage becomes stuggish, the skin appears puffy through retained fluid, blemishes appear, as toxins are expelled through the surface and cellulite can result, as fluid and toxins become trapped on the fatty layers under skin. More importantly, a poorly performing lymphatic system can cause damage to the immune system and more serious conditions could result.

Essential part of detox

Toxins form in the body as by-products of normal cellular activity, not just as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle. Daily dry body brushing stimulates the lymphatic system and ensures that all cellular waste is removed efficiently. A firm fibre brush will suffice, but newer developments in brush technology have incorporated rubber pins into the brush head with the fibres, to apply a firmer pressure to the lymph capilliaries under the surface of the skin whilst brushing. This is particularly useful during any detox programme, to kick star the system into action and make sure is is prepared to cope efficiently with the extra workload of toxin removal.

The post What is Dry Body Brushing & Lymph Detoxing appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

THE CORRECT SLEEPING POSITION

The quality of the bed is extremely important. A good base permits a correct sleeping position. the spinal column cannot recover if you are tense. The ideal sleeping position is adjusted to the natural shape of the spine. It guarantees maximum relief of the vertebral and the inter vertebral discs and prevents unnatural twisting or pressure forces. there before, bed frames, mattresses and pillows should be carefully selected. Choose those models which perfectly relieve your body, provide anatomically-correct support for your vertebrae and neck.

Nowadays, more and more people pay special attention to the quality of the mattress. However, one shouldn’t forget that the nature and shape of the pillow is equally important. Because, while sleeping, the cervical spinal column, or the neck region between the shoulder and head, needs substantial support to prevent pain and traumata. However, due to the high shoulder, the neck is often insufficiently supported, which can result in complaints. These occur e.g. due to an overexertion of muscles or soft tissue. Further factors for complaints could be an accident or an unhealthy sleeping position. In general, pains coming from the neck are frequent. However, most of them are misdiagnosed as the symptoms are perceived somewhere else – e.g. as headaches pr back pain.

An effective treatment requires substantial support of the lower cervical spine during the entire night. The spinal column and neck must be kept straight in their natural, anatomically-correct position to relieve muscles and nerves and keep them well-perfused. Frequently, the consequences of a poor sleeping position or insufficient support often become apparent only after a long time. Sometimes even many years later, for which reason the link between the occurring pain and (bad) sleeping habits is often not drawn at first sight.

In order to ensure a naturally healthy, restful sleep and to ease neck problems, one should preferably opt for an orthopedic neck pillow. Due to their unique edge and shape, they feature e substantial support to the neck region and gently lead it into its natural, anatomically-correct position. However, not all orthopedic neck pillows on the market offer equally comprehensive support.

The shape of the pillow should allow the head to rest slightly bent forward when in a lateral position and fill the space between neck and collarbone in order to provide optimum support to the cervical spice. Because deep in the neck is the crux, where neck problems and neck pains evolve.

You appriciate the comfort offered by the viscoelastic foam, which exaclty adjusts to the individual body shape according to the temperature induced? Then you should select the SISSEL SOFT PILLOW. For blissful relaxation with 2-in-1 function: healthy neck support and soft confort.

The post Healthy sleeping-Sissel appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

If you are familiar with meditation, you might recognize that it can help you feel calm. However, you may not be aware that meditating regularly has the power to change your brain. Beneficial alterations include an increased sense of serenity, astute decision-making, and greater compassion toward others.

Thinking about meditation can summon internal pictures of monks or yogis sitting in a crossed legged position with their eyes closed and a tranquil expression on their face. You can be forgiven for imagining that only such diligent practitioners of this relaxing art can reap great rewards. After all, most other people who meditate only do so for a short while each day. However, studies show that it is not only experts that are blessed with the amazing results that meditation can afford. You can change your mindset for the better and learn how to deal with potentially stressful situations easily if you adopt meditation as a habit. Furthermore, you can enhance your ability to empathize with people and understand them, even when they are very different to you.

The fact that highly conscientious practitioners of meditation seem extremely balanced, taking situations that other mortals would consider stressful in their stride, is no mistake. Years of mindfully relaxing, or entering the void of ‘no-thought’ has altered their neural pathways intensely. In the same way, people who take twenty minutes per day to meditate can also develop helpful changes in their thought patterns.

Studies reveal that people who do not meditate tend to have fortified links or pathways in their brain between the part of their medial prefrontal cortex that deals with processing what is happening to them and their Amygdala and Insula. The Amygdala is responsible for the fight-or-flight response to fear, and the Insula suggests the best way of dealing with physical sensations and is connected with empathy. When these parts of the brain are strongly coupled, unconstructive emotional responses to experiences can occur. The result can be that people ruminate a great deal over problems relating to the past and fail to let go of them. They might also inappropriately conclude that situations are worthy of a fear response.

On the other hand, people who meditate experience decreased unhelpful responses to situations and are less likely to attribute them incorrectly to danger. They are better able to assess what is happening in constructive ways and remain calm. At the same time, they are able to imagine what it might feel like to be someone who is not similar to them, which means that they can show great empathy and compassion despite differences in outlooks. People who meditate are equipped to be non-judgmental, peaceful, and shrewd since links between their prefrontal cortex and their amygdala and insula are reduced. Instead, neural pathways to another part of their brain, the lateral prefrontal cortex, are reinforced. The lateral prefrontal cortex helps them make balanced judgments. In a way, it may be likened to the higher self, since it aids people in thinking wisely.

If you want to experience the benefits of meditating relating to changes in your brain, you need to set aside time each day to practice and make doing so an ongoing process. Studies suggest that areas of the brain that are worked on regularly become strong due to repetitious behavior, but neural connections can decrease once work ceases. However, the rewards gained must surely be greater than the time-related costs of meditating. In addition, it is empowering to know that you can easily develop your brain simply by relaxing.

References:

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/use-your-mind-change-your-brain/201305/is-your-brain-meditation

http://www.pureinsight.org/node/4737

The post CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR BRAIN WITH MEDITATION? appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

Perhaps, you have tried eating sleep-inducing foods that mellow your mood and stimulate relaxation in order to get some shut-eye. Alternatively, you might have exercised to the hilt at the correct time of day to do so, engaged in a hot bath before bedtime and attempted to make sure that your body clock is ticking over brilliantly. However, it is still possible that none of the above has worked for you, and obtaining sleep seems like a dream on the horizon. If so, you will probably benefit from encouraging your body and mind to relax by meditating

WHY MEDITATION?

When your mind races due to stress or excitement, it can be impossible to sleep. One anxiety-provoking thought leads to another or each spark of an idea in your head fires up your brain instead of peacefully sending it to the land of Nod. Meditation can be beneficial under such circumstances since it soothes the brain, taking your mind down to lower vibrational frequencies.

Hyper-alert people, which include you if you cannot turn down the rumblings in your mind, operate via fast brainwaves, which keep them stuck in a flight-or-fight state of consciousness. Their systems are ready for action rather than amiable to winding down.

There again, you might be finding getting to sleep hard since you just cannot get comfortable. If you are in pain or discomfort due to an illness or injury, or simply experiencing aches and pains from over-exercising, it can be difficult to find a good position in which to sleep and stop signals of uneasiness stemming from your body. Meditating can make you so deeply relaxed that you no longer notice bodily sensations since your concentrating flows inwards to your mind.

There are many types of meditation, and a great deal are practiced during the day and are not intended to stimulate sleep, just an alert state of peacefulness. Nonetheless, you can meditate yourself to sleep, or at least use meditation to help you rest comfortably while you are still awake.

Meditation techniques that help with sleep are often combined with brainwave training in order to help calm down the synaptic vibrations between neurons in the brain. You can also listen to a meditation audio, or simply tune your thoughts toward mindfulness, whereby you pay full attention to your breath as you slowly breathe in and out deeply. It is also possible to focus on relaxing parts of your body, one by one, by repeatedly telling yourself that each part in question is comfortably heavy and that you are relaxed. The sensations induced by doing so encourage your body to relax so deeply that you feel incredibly comfortable and calm, which is how you want to be when you desire to sleep.

There is no point in lying awake while feeling uncomfortable and focusing on problems. If you just do not seem to be able to sleep, try meditating in a fashion that suits your needs and you are likely to nod-off sooner than you expect.

The post INSOMNIA?

Not everyone experiences physical sensations when they meditate, but those who do are often perplexed since they do not know what is happening to them. There again, the few who simply accept the occurrence of an expanded awareness of their body and go with the flow, seem to enjoy the way areas of their body become the focus of their attention.

WHAT TYPE OF SENSATIONS MIGHT YOU EXPERIENCE?

You might feel a sense of being at one with the universe, which in a way, is the opposite of concentrating on your body as you will feel as though your consciousness does not reside in a physical form.

You might feel lightheaded, or experience a tingling sensation. Some people report that they have involuntary movements such as a hand rising, while others say that their body twitches.

Basically, you might have a wide variety of physical sensations, or none at all. Either way, the very act of relaxing will be beneficial.

WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE SENSATIONS?

The jury is out regarding why some people experience sensations while they meditate. Some teachers of meditation explain the phenomena by saying that they are caused by the release of stress as part of a healing process that takes place. Others say that sensations occur simply because the brain is relaxed. What we do know, is that people tend to become more aware of physical sensations while they meditate. Instead of focusing on the outside world as they normally do, they pay attention to their inner-world, including their body. If, as you meditate, you concentrate on the process of breathing, or on your heart area, or perhaps chakra points, you will pull your attention in the direction of how your body feels. You might experience an awareness of sensations that regularly occur, but which you do not usually notice when not meditating.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE SENSATIONS?

If you experience sensations, you might like to imagine that you are breathing into the areas of your body in question and make doing so part of your meditation practice. Alternatively, you can just allow them to happen without paying them any more or less attention.

It can be normal to discover that you become aware of your body and of specific sensations while you meditate. Instead of letting them worry you, you can make them part of your practice purposefully, or allow them to simply happen.

The post SENSATIONS YOU EXPERIENCE DURING MEDITATION appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

Some people might say that ignorance is bliss; yet, the enhanced awareness that comes from enlightenment can dramatically improve life. Once you get in-touch with the deep connection you have with all living creation, everything will fall into place. Problems will no longer be perceived as such, and you will know that everything is as it is meant to be. Meditation is a direct route to expanded awareness, and practicing regularly will help you gain profound understanding.

BREATH: THE KEY TO EXPANSION

Of course, if you did not breathe, your physical body would die. However, breathing is not simply about keeping you alive. With the power of slow circular breathing, inhaling and exhaling without an interval in-between, you can fully experience your emotions and produce clear thought. It is thought that people can find the ecstasy that is already within them when they breathe mindfully. Furthermore, ecstasy and bliss are key elements of enlightenment.

However, it should be noted that some individuals find circular breathing brings up hidden emotions, as in those that are residing in the subconscious until the right time comes to emerge. Gently teasing out unresolved feelings can be a healing experience, but only if you are ready to manage them. If you think you have a great deal of emotional baggage that requires unpacking gradually, it might be worthwhile taking small steps toward gaining enlightenment through breathing techniques instead of charging into the fray.

MINDFULNESS

Mindful meditation involves relaxed focus, which is not the same as tense focus. There is no mental strain or struggle when you apply your mind in this manner. After practicing deep breathing while meditating, catch the space between thoughts where silence exists. Notice inner chatter stops now and then, and expand the gap as you become aware of its existence. When passing thoughts arise and self-talk begins again, notice that it is there, but mentally stand back from the experience and watch thoughts as an observer. Allow internal dialogue to drift, as it will easily pass if you do not feed it via attention. Bring your focus back to the gap between thoughts.

When inner talk ceases, your mind is no longer bombarded by your ego and you can more easily encounter the collective unconscious. You will find that your awareness increases the more often you take a mental break from thoughts that clutter the direct line to enlightenment.

EXPANDING THE AREA OF NO-THOUGHT

The idea of expanding the area of no-thought might seem like a paradox, since you need to think about not thinking in order to do so! However, after practicing often, you will discover that entering the gap between thoughts is automatic, and your mind will generate expansion without requiring direction.

When expansion of the mind occurs, it is like opening your eyes wider to let in more light. Your mind is able to perceive more than when it was partially closed.

Along your journey, you may experience great joy followed by bouts of mental turmoil, as your ego attempts to reemerge. You can best handle such challenges by treating your ego as you do passing thoughts. Do not bother to fight or criticize your mind’s antics. Instead, go back to being the observer, and at other times, treat your ego with compassion and kindness instead of anger or resentment.

Plenty of information abounds claiming to help people gain enlightenment in a matter of minutes. Nevertheless, enlightenment is a journey of the expansion of awareness, healing, and the absorption and integration of meaning, and is not meant to be rushed. Gently opening your inner eye to awareness, at a pace that is right for you, is the healthiest and most beneficial option. You can begin via breathing and mindfulness, and simply allow the awareness of enlightenment to flow naturally.

References:

Research shows that what you think has the power to influence your health. Hence, the placebo effect, the fight-or-flight response, and illnesses that are triggered by emotions. However, it may also be true that what you think about food specifically affects you physically.

Take Sarah’s experience for example. She always ate a Chelsea bun at coffee time. She wanted to lose weight, but felt that she needed to fill a gap in her stomach by mid-morning and indulged. Shifting those extra pounds was tough as she ate a bun every day. However, a French friend came to visit and was amazed that Sarah felt the need to consume a cake with coffee. “But coffee is almost a meal in itself,” she said. “In France, we would not dream of eating during our morning coffee break!”

Sarah had not considered coffee to be filling previously. Nonetheless, she took on her friend’s idea that it might be, and strangely, her need to eat during her break vanished. “It’s odd, but I don’t feel hungry anymore,” she reported.

You may be thinking that Sarah’s reduction in hunger was all in her mind. However, a study carried out by clinical psychologist Alia Crum suggests differently.

Crum discovered that the hormone secreted by the gut in response to hunger seemed to be influenced by the information subjects were given about what they consumed. Believing that they had downed a filling, fattening milkshake caused their ghrelin levels to drop, just as it would have if they had eaten a big meal. Thus, they did not feel hungry. Nevertheless, the milkshake was only 300 calories and should not have influenced their ghrelin levels so significantly. The control group’s ghrelin levels were much higher after consuming the same milkshakes, which they had been told were low in calories.

Crum does not advocate that people can definitely use mind over matter regarding how their body handles food, but her research is certainly interesting. Perhaps, believing that you are eating healthy food could improve your immune system. Alternatively, maybe thinking that you are consuming food that is bad for you can make you ill. We need to wait until further research is carried out to make an informed decision, but it is worth bearing in mind that what you think about the food you eat could be partially responsible for your health.

References:

Most people consider sleep an automatic behavior. However, if you have insomnia, this is not true for you. Sleeping will be an irregular occurrence that is not a habit. In addition, if you do not follow a similar timetable when going to bed and rising from slumber, habitual sleep will be elusive since your body clock will not function correctly.

Making sleep a habit means that you engage in shut-eye at a certain time of night, or day if you are a night-worker. Going to bed and falling into peaceful sleep should be a commonplace behavior. When it is not, you are likely to suffer detrimental physical and mental consequences.

In order to make sleep a habit, you need to create a customary system of behavior. Resetting your body clock takes vigilance and perseverance. One of the reasons countless children have sleep problems can be put down to a lack of consistency regarding the routine followed prior to sleep, and the regularity of the time that sleep takes place. Adults respond in much the same way when they go to bed at various times and fail to wind down before hitting the hay.

If you wanted to stop the momentum of a rolling stone, you would not help it gain speed by increasing the severity of the angle at which it was traveling. Instead, you would change its direction by setting it on an even, balanced path. The stone would slow down and eventually come to rest. Many people halt the winding down process that needs to take place before sleep by carrying out mentally and physically stimulating activities. Just like a stone rushing downhill, their systems gather speed in the guise of racing thoughts. Additionally, they might raise their body temperature.

Playing computer games, listening to fast music, watching action movies, arguing, making plans, exercising and eating too much are just a few of the ways people speed up instead of slowing down before they attempt to sleep. Other methods of winding yourself up include drinking coffee, eating sugary foods, and keeping the lights in your home bright as the evening wears on.

Winding down may consist of relaxation-inducing behaviors such as reading, taking a hot bath, drinking a cup of warm milk sweetened with honey, or eating a cracker topped with cottage cheese. At the same time, you might listen to calming music, sit by the fireside and look into the flames, or watch the sun go down from the front porch. You get the picture. The type of activity you carry out needs to be restful and relaxing.

Furthermore, engaging in similar activities at a similar time each evening might be useful. For example, you might take your bath at around nine-thirty, before selecting a book to read by the fireside. Alternatively, you might dim your house lights in line with the fading sun, turn off your TV set at a certain time each night, and play calming music before you go to bed.

The time you aim to turn in depends upon how long you want to spend sleeping corresponding with the hour at which you are going to rise. This sounds obvious, but lots of people do not give themselves the chance to sleep long enough since they go to bed too late. Studies suggest that people require roughly seven-and-a-half hours sleep in total, although you will need up to nine-and-a-half hours if you are a teenager. You might feel that you can cope with a little less sleep, or that you require a little more. Bear in mind that you may not fall asleep instantly. Therefore, allow extra time in which the act of drifting off to sleep can take place. In addition, if you like to gradually awaken and gather your thoughts, you will require more time in bed in the morning. Consequently, if you want to get up at seven, you need to go to bed at about half-past-ten.

You can make sleep a habit by resetting your body clock. Going to bed at a similar time each night and adopting a regular wind-down routine beforehand will make your goal possible.

The post MAKE SLEEP A HABIT appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

There are times when the best course of action to carry out when you are lethargic and down is to exercise. Doing so certainly has the power to help you stay in physical shape. However, the mental benefits of exercise are often overlooked. If you want to enhance your mind, engaging in a form of exercise that you enjoy will boost your emotional wellness and brain fitness.

Spending time exercising in natural surroundings like the countryside can make people feel good. Additionally, we are aware that performing exercises, in any environment, increases feel-good hormones that flood the system, which is why people can feel high from working out. Nonetheless, until recently, people were not aware of just how greatly exercise could improve and maintain the functioning of their brains.

A study involving mice showed that regular exercise increased brain cells, which is good news, since there is reason to think that the same is true for humans. Scientists now believe that exercising could help stave off Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s, while helping people think clearly and feel less mentally fatigued than if they were couch potatoes.

Perhaps, you have spent the odd day or too lounging indoors in the past, especially if it was the festive season and the weather was bad outdoors. Resting and relaxing for a while probably felt good. However, there will have come a point when you just felt lethargic, bored, and frankly, a little brain-dead. Lack of physical movement over a long period can weaken your mental state as well as your muscles if you are not careful. Getting off the couch and exercising enlivens your mind.

Another study, this time involving monkeys as subjects, revealed that exercise increased blood vessels in the brain. Not exercising regularly, however, resulted in the number of blood vessels that the monkeys had gained decreasing once more. Therefore, if you want to keep your brain fit, you have to exercise each day.

In case you are wondering, thirty minutes of exercise per day has proven to be sufficient for enhanced brain plasticity. Workout or walk vigorously, for half-an-hour regularly and your brain’s ability to heal after trauma will increase along with your memory. Additionally, if you are trying to become skilled at something new, exercise is beneficial since it aids the learning process.

Whether you hope to avoid mental decline as you age, improve mental functioning, or enhance your ability to absorb and process information, exercise could be your panacea.

References:

Could the reason you find it hard to sleep be sitting just below the surface of your consciousness? Perhaps, the idea that repressed fears are lurking, jolting you into wakefulness when you need to sleep may seem strange. However, it is possible that anything from the fear of not being able to sleep to concerns about safety are keeping you awake.

YOUR COMPLEX BRAIN

Part of you might decide that it is sensible to sleep since doing so would be beneficial on certain levels, while another part of you disagrees. At such a time, discord arises and your fear center sets off its internal alarm system. If there are problems that concern you, it is likely that they will surface when you turn out the light, despite your good intentions to rest peacefully. However, those kinds of sleep-interruptions are not exactly below your consciousness since are you are aware of them. The type of worries that are not obvious stem from repressed thoughts that send signals to your brain saying, “stay awake! You cannot sleep until this concern has made a breakthrough.”

You can see a similar pattern occurring if a loud noise wakes you in the night. The reason your internal alarm is raised is because the noise is an unknown quantity. Your brain is designed to kick you into an alert state if there is a possibility of danger. The noise is seen as a potential threat that you need to check out before you can return to snoozing. No doubt, you would find out what the noise was and this would soothe your concerns as you recognized that there was no real jeopardy, and you could fall asleep once more.

A repressed fear is somewhat like an internal noise, a potential threat to your well-being. If there is something bothering you subconsciously, it can be difficult to sleep until you acknowledge that it exists. Your system might keep pressing your alarm until you look at what is going on.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The key to stopping your brain from making you alert is to acknowledge your concerns. Often, worries that keep you awake are not so far back in your subconscious that they cannot easily be reached. If they were safely tucked away, they probably would not stop you from sleeping.

If your mind is buzzing and you do not know why, a repressed fear is probably waiting to emerge. Furthermore, if you did not have the same experience the previous night, it is likely to stem from an event that happened in the day. Perhaps an old fear was triggered, or a new fear was created by an event that you failed to think about at the time. For example, an unexamined phone bill, inadvertently shoved in a drawer, might have triggered a subconscious fear surrounding financial concerns that need to be addressed. Acknowledging the concern by writing it on a to do list could help you sleep.

Sometimes, the repressed thought that is making you alert could stem from a fear of not sleeping. Such a scenario is likely to occur if you have recently had transient insomnia that stemmed from a known cause. The initial problem will have gone, but left you feeling afraid that if you continue to have insomnia, you will not be able to function well during the day. You can be so wrapped up in worrying about not being able to sleep that the idea becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Recognizing that the initial problem has passed and that this is the cause of your fears can be soothing, thus aiding sleep.

Subconscious insomnia is your brain’s way of alerting you to a potential threat to your happiness. Much of the time, the ‘threat’ is not really a cause for alarm, and simply recognizing what it is can set your mind at ease. At other times, understanding what ails your mind can be helpful since doing so forces you to address issues that you have been avoiding. When you acknowledge them and begin to make plans to find solutions, your fears subside and you can sleep.

The post SUBCONSCIOUS INSOMNIA appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

There are numerous factors that could be to blame for your lack of sleep, but if you are particularly angry at present, a build of stress could be the cause. Emotional pressure can come from any situation you face that leaves your heart racing and your mind in turmoil. Anger is capable of mentally tying you in knots. Learning how to unravel them could be the key to gaining shut-eye.

Often, the best way to deal with anger is to transform your feelings. Of course, doing so is not always easy, and anger can be bound by a sense of injustice and helplessness combined. If this describes how you feel, it is no wonder that you find it hard to sleep. However, you can do something to regain healthy slumber.

Expel vigor by getting plenty of exercise since anger can produce negative energy that is best discharged. Additionally, going for a run or a bike ride, can help stimulate feel-good hormones that help you deal with your emotions. Save any strenuous exercise for the daytime rather than leaving it until the evening, which is the time to unwind.

When you go to bed, take your mind away from your problems by focusing on breathing in and out slowly and deeply. Feel your breath entering your body, and imagine that it is filled with cleansing blue light. As you exhale, picture negativity leaving your body as clouds of grey.

After a few moments, begin focusing your attention on your toes, and curl them tightly, hold, and then release. Continue this exercise by slowly working up your body, clenching, holding, and releasing tension.

When you have begun to relax and focused from toe to scalp, mentally scan your body for feelings of tightness. Chances are that any tight areas are the result of the anger that you hold. Mentally picture them as knots. Visualize a blue, healing light seeping into each one, and notice that it is becoming looser and looser. See every knot unravel, and breathe deeply as though your breath is traveling to areas that were formally tight.

Now, think of a wonderful holiday or other experience that made you happy. Let a smile form upon your lips as you focus on pleasant thoughts. Hold the picture in your mind’s eye for a while, and really concentrate on making the image clear and full of color. Let this memory become the last thing you think of as you drift into sleep.

Not sleeping because you have pent up emotions is a bind. Nonetheless, you can release tension and fill your mind with positive thoughts as you wind down, relax, and let go, so that you can sleep.

The post IS ANGER KEEPING YOU AWAKE appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.

Do you ever find that you want to relax, but you just can’t slow down and unwind? If your mind is overstimulated, you are suffering from stress, your lifestyle is erratic or you have excess energy, you will probably find relaxing hard.

OVERSTIMULATED MIND

Neurotransmitters such as adrenalin are designed to make you alert. They are naturally produced when you carry out activities that stimulate your mind or body. During the day, you can benefit from having these brain messengers in your system. They can help you feel good and give you energy. The only problem when they are produced when you want to relax is that they create the opposite effect to that which you want to achieve. You want to calm down and let go, but they make you agitated and wound up.

Anything that excites your mind, from watching a horror movie to working late using your computer can send a message to your brain to create the type of neurotransmitters that keep you alert and ready for action. Thus, if you want to relax, you need to cut down on stimulating activities as the day ends and evening begins.

STRESS

Unwanted thoughts about things that trouble you are likely to make it hard for you to relax. The more you focus on problems, the more difficult it can be to let go and achieve a peaceful mind. In order to de-stress you will benefit from practicing meditation, or another method of calming your mind such as guided imagery.

ERRATIC LIFESTYLE

Nobody’s life runs smoothly all of the time. However, you can develop a routine that you follow as a means of winding down as often as possible. Train your brain to recognize signs that you want to relax by carrying out similar tasks at a similar time of evening and night before you go to bed every day of the week. Sure, you might socialize more at weekends, or study and work late in the week, but you can still eat at a similar time, exercise at a similar time and end the day with a cup of warm milk.

EXCESS ENERGY

You might have excess energy if you haven’t exercised enough. If you have a sedentary desk job, or just don’t like exercising, you might find it is hard to loosen up. Either way, you can exercise without realizing it by making small changes to your daily routine. For example, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, cycling to work rather than taking the car, and walking to the shops instead of shopping online will provide you with physical activity.

ANXIETY ABOUT RELAXING

If you have found it hard to relax for some time, you might have come to believe that relaxing is virtually impossible. In addition, you might worry about not relaxing and so become stressed, which in turn prevents you from relaxing.

To alter your mentality regarding relaxation, try new methods of soothing your mind and body you’ve not endeavored to explore previously. Your mind is more likely to readily accept a new way of relaxing than an old one you assume doesn’t work. Perhaps you would benefit from a session in a floatation tank to remind you what it feels like to relax, or you could join a yoga class.

There are many reasons why you might find relaxing hard. Identifying where your difficulty relaxing stems from can help you alleviate the problem.

The post WHY YOU FIND RELAXING HARD appeared first on Jreissati Enterprises.
